Dr. Diana Abath
Ed.D., GCDF-I, HS-BCP, CLMC, CSSP
Dr. Diana Abath is a community- and career-practitioner educator who resides in southern Vermont, USA. She has worked in career, workforce, and employment development, services, and education and human services for 15 years. Serving an array of diverse populations, Diana has held roles as director, manager, trainer, consultant, mentor, and coordinator of community and regional human services programs for a range of at-risk populations. She has also held similar roles in academic career services of five colleges, respectively. Currently,Diana is the Coordinator of Returning Adults Center/Women’s Resource Advocate at a New England community college.
Diana is known for her jovial spirit, ready smile, quick humor, and passionate advocacy for the professional development of career and employment practitioners; especially in rural and remote areas. She teaches certification courses in career services management as an online instructor of the Career Management Professional Program (CMPP) and CCE-Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) program for U.S. and Canadian organizations through her private practice, ShineWrite Career & Professional Development, devoted to providing online and in-person services to individuals and organizations.
Diana’s education includes a Doctorate in Education focused in online, career, and instructor education from a social justice perspective. As a result, Diana earned the Drs. Henderson Educational Leadership Doctoral Scholarship from Union Institute & University, an award to those whose careers and scholarship directly exhibit practice in advancing the cause of educational leadership and social justice. Her MA degrees are in Industrial Organizational Psychology specializing in VR staff training and development and Community Education emphasizing career/workforce curriculum and instruction, respectively. Diana also holds Board Certified Human Services Practitioner (HS-BCP) and Certified Developmental Coach (CDC) credentials.
