Meet the Team
Anahita Kadkhoda
MSc, CCDP
Instructor, CMPP
Anahita has over 15 years experience in the field of career counselling and training. She has worked with a variety of clients including professional and technical job seekers, career explorers, and university and high school students. Her educational background consists of a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Simon Fraser University and a Master’s Degree from California State University, Northridge in Educational Psychology with a specialization in Career Counselling.
She is a founding member of the Focus on Internationally Trained Professionals, which is sponsored by the BC Career Development Association. The committee is responsible for organizing an annual conference for Employment and Career Practitioners who provide services and have interest in the advancement of Internationally Trained Professionals.
Her other involvement has been with the Employment Access for Skilled Immigrants (EASI), which was a multi-stakeholder committee comprising provincial and federal government delegates, as well as service providers, regulatory bodies, and college/university representatives.
Anahita is the proud recipient of the British Columbia’s Career Development Award of Excellence for work done alongside her fellow instructors of the Douglas College Career Development Practitioner Program. She has also recently been recognized with a ten years of service award at YWCA Vancouver for successfully assisting clients with their career development needs.
