Comprehensive Career Development Curriculum
(2008)
Client: South Texas Nuclear Operating Company (STP)
In an effort to increase employment engagement and reduce turnover,
this project explored an organizational career development initiative.
- Curriculum Standards Guide/ Technical Manual and Career Related
Workshops (2009)
Client: Christian Labour Association of Canada (CLAC), BC Training
Centre
A curriculum standards guide was designed for all CLAC training materials;
three workshops were developed, focussing on core personal and professional
competencies.
- Employer Resource Guide for Supervisor Competency Training
(2011)
Client: Asia Pacific Gateway Skills Table (APGST)
The goal of this project was to create an easy-to-use Employer Resource
Guide for employers and employees that identified relevant training to
develop supervisory skills, knowledge, and attributes.
- Essential Skills Curriculum Development (2009 -
2011)
Client: S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Employment Service
This project involved the development of a workplace-based training program
focussing on the development of relevant Essential Skills.
- Instructor Development Program (IDP;

Client: The Education Company (TEC)
An online program to develop TEC instructors, which included lesson,
course, and curriculum development.

Look Before You Leap: Self-Employment Survival
Strategies (2011)
Client: Canadian Education and Research Institute for Counselling
(CERIC)
The "Leap" project was made possible through a partnership between
CERIC and Life Strategies Ltd.; it included a 2-week (20 hour)
facilitated e-learning course focused on self-employment. To supplement
this training and provide ongoing support, the project also included a
book useful for those considering self-employment and those supporting
self-employed persons. To support in-person delivery, a facilitator's
guide and a PowerPoint were also developed (contact us for details).
The dedicated "Look Before You Leap" website (www.lookbeforeyouleap.ca) included annotated links to
relevant resources for the self-employed and those supporting the
self-employed, and a Blog that shared relevant self-employment
tips/strategies and stories.

As part of our Personality Dimensions® consulting work with CLSR, we have
developed curriculum and toolkits for trainers.
- Recruitment and Retention Guide and Workshop

Client: Community Social Services Employers Association
(CSSEA)
This project focussed on the implementation of various strategies
identified in a 2007 CSSEA report on recruitment and retention issues.
- Recruitment and Retention Strategic Plan
(2008)
Client: Powell River Association of Community Living (PRACL)
Life Strategies developed and supported the implementation of a recruitment
and retention plan to provide services to individuals with
disabilities.

workers, we developed a comprehensive diversity toolkit that focused on

Their Career Options (2012)
Client: Canadian Career Development Foundation (CCDF)
With the support of the CCDF and the 2012 Building for the Future
Endowment Fund, Life Strategies developed timely and affordable
resources to help Career Development Practitioners (CDPs) understand
the wide range of opportunities available for those with their
specialized skills.
